Cold Northern Living 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Living in Brainerd is nice. Life here moves along at a snails pace, and that's just how I like it. We like to have good, clean, fun here. We value community and family above all else. Every year we hold drag races that are well known throughout the state. Tons of people from neig ...Read More hboring cities pour in to watch us small town folks get down and have fun. But don't think we're completely in the boonies, with no good to show for it. We have a great flight center for medical helicopters, one of five in the state.

The best areas in Brainerd to visit, apart from the race track, have got to be all the areas of the city that showcase nature and all her beauty. For that, the Paul Bunyan State Trail can't be beat with it's breathtaking sights. Another place you might want to check out is the Northland Arboretum, an amazing nature reserve that shows off the bountiful resources of our state. Read Less
