Buda, TX - Small Town With A Big City Feeling 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Living here in Buda, TX has been a great experience. I really enjoy the small historical town look and feel of this city. Although it is known for its casinos, shopping, and its historical downtown landmarks; it is one of the richest and fastest growing cities in Texas. My family and I generally like to start the weekends or summers off with a hike or bike ride through some of the many bike trails and scenic parks here in Buda, TX. By the way, Buda is the "Outdoor Capital of Texas," an honor bestowed upon it due to the abundance of its natural beauty. My Kids love history and Buda, TX is full of rich culture and history. Two of the best areas to go to for the history of Buda, is the Historic McElroy-Severn Stagecoach House and the Historical Downtown Buda. The stagecoach house was built in 1887 and is still standing. Downtown Buda is full of historical buildings, landmarks, and shops that are still in operation.

Night life is great here also, my husband and I sometimes go out for date night. The fine dining is fabulous here; and so are the bars and casinos. We love to dine at the Blue Dahlia Bistro and take in a late show. Shopping downtown is great also, you have the antique shops and so much more. The school system is great; and the community has something going on at all times with events and festivals. Buda, TX is truly a great place to live! Read Less
