Carthage, Missouri - A Great Place to Live! 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I love living in Carthage! I have lived here all of my life and can't imagine calling anywhere else home. People here are so down to earth and friendly, it really makes you feel a sense of community. There are a lot of things to do here too!

My absolute favorite thing is going
...Read More to the 66 Drive In! There is nothing like watching a movie on the big screen from your car, hearing it through the radio, rolling down the windows and smelling the concessions, it's just awesome! We also have the Precious Moments Chapel to honor the little figurines, and that is a real great attraction for visitors. There are plenty of parks for walks or to take the kids to play.

The cost of living here isn't to exuberant, and there are plenty of jobs available if not directly here in town then in the surrounding areas. We have several different restaurants, mostly catering to traditional American fare, but we do have pizza and Mexican food too! Read Less
