I Love Living in Columbia, Illinois! 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I have lived in Columbia, Illinois for all of my life except for my four years I was away at college. I can't picture myself living anywhere else, no do I want to! The people that call Columbia home are friendly, trustworthy and really give you that true honest to goodness mid-we ...Read More stern feeling!

Just because we are a smaller town don't think there is a lot to do here because there is! As a community we really like to get together and celebrate the holidays in a festive way, especially for the children and our local senior citizens. We have a Memorial Day parade, fireworks and picnics for the Fourth of July, street festivals during the summertime, a large community celebration for Halloween and a beautiful light display celebration downtown in honor of Christmas. It's really great!

My most favorite thing to do here is to spend the day window shopping downtown. The shops down there are very eclectic, specializing in either furniture, musical instruments, female clothing accessories or home decorating. I absolutely love it! Read Less
