uaint downtown from being a casualty. Surrounding the downtown are picturesque Victorians and Arts & Craft homes. Decorah has a great school system and the typical amenities of a small town.
Some may see my next comment as a "con" but I think it is part of the reason why Decorah has kept its charm . . . it's not easy to get to. Probably the biggest asset the community has, however, is the community. The people are so welcoming a friendly.
The only downside I can think of is that winters can be very cold. Otherwise, the other three seasons are beautiful.
