DeRidder, LA Makes A Nice Hometown 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) If you're looking for one of the best areas in Louisiana to call home, I guess you could do worse than DeRidder. I myself have been living in DeRidder for 9 years now and I am very happy here. We're having a bit of a slump in employment and available housing at the moment, but th ...Read More is is a good community full of decent, hardworking people and I have no doubt things will pick up soon. Louisiana is a beautiful place, with lots of natural beauty. We have some pretty great schools here which we are proud of. The people who make up this humble little town are just the greatest. Everyone takes pride in living in DeRidder.

We have some interesting things to do for fun and entertainment around here. We have the Beauregard Museum, the McConathy Farmers Market, Kwon's Tae Kwondo Academy, the Beauregard Country Club if you were so inclined, and of course all of the restaurants, bars, and nightlife that Louisiana is famous for. Come visit and stay awhile. You'll be happy that you did. Read Less
