y and exemplifies all that is best about small-town Kansas living. The nearby metropolitan area of Wichita offers vast job options in many careers, especially in the aviation and oil industries. I love living in El Dorado for the opportunity to boat and camp at beautiful El Dorado Lake.
The best area of El Dorado is El Dorado State Park, with its vast lake and network of hiking and horseback riding trails. The city is known for its many parks, featuring two full-size municipal pools, an 18-hole golf course, a baseball stadium, tennis courts, picnic shelters, and more. There is no shortage of outdoor fun in El Dorado, especially in the summer months.
