Pros: It’s not Atlanta or Athens. When you call a landscaper they ask “How many acres?”. Not overly crowded with traffic jams. Everyone in town knows each other. There is a sense of community.
Cons: There are no new houses. However, housing is very economical. Shop ...Read More
ping is limited. However, Hartwell and Athens are 30 minutes away. This is a bedroom community.

Elberton is only turning into another ghetto, there's nothing to prosper from this rural town. It would be advised that you stay away and not make this your ideal settlement. This town is the definition of a death trap, you'll be stuck here and feel the urge to get out the first ...Read More
week of settling in. Even for a rural town, this is no way of life. Its a death trap, a town destined to fall or eventually collapse into another ghetto society. Take one step into this town and feel free to stay a day at the amazing hotels they provide. I'm sure the founders of this town are rolling in their graves at how this town had progressed into. Perhaps... this is exactly what it was destined to be? Why? This town had its potential, sadly the only industry stomping out every other potential markets, seems to be the granite company. If this continues, it'll eventually dry up in the few decades, if not good for them. However, for normal families who are looking for a settlement, this is not your place to go, unless you want an ending, this is your way to go. "Some," communities are consisted with good people. However, as said... this will be a ghetto sooner or later, it isn't an ideal place to be if you have children to raise. If you're single and want to see out your days, this place still isn't ideal, but if you have the financial means to afford the higher class neighborhoods here, go for it.But hey, there's a nice attraction sight known as the granite stonehenge near this town, that's a good tablet or "prophecy," to read, hopefully it'll be inspiring enough for anyone to move to Elberton!
