A Great Place to Call Home 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Living in Fort Payne, Alabama has been a great experience for me so far. This town is centrally located to many other larger towns including Atlanta and Birmingham, so taking a day trip for some city fun is simple. The best areas in Fort Payne, Alabama include the multiple outdoor recreational areas. Desoto State Park is located nearby and if you love the outdoors, the, you will be happy with the different opportunities that it provides you for outdoor fun. Fishing, hiking, biking, and boating opportunities can all be found within an easy driving distance of Fort Payne, Alabama.

If you are looking to expand your educational opportunities, then that will also be possible here. There are three local community colleges all within an easy driving distance of the town. I attend Snead State part time and love the experience and education that I am getting. There is just so much here and just so many opportunities that this is a great place to call home. Read Less
