Henryetta - One of The Worst Corrupt City's in Oklahoma 0.5 rating By BuckSheward ( Oct 08, 2017) You had it right in 2014, Henryetta was then and is today the #1 worst town to live in Oklahoma. You have amenities as an A- which should at best be a D. And the cost of living as a A-, someone at areavibes is smoking funny weed, how about a C-. And you have crime as a C while ...Read More we are ranked #30 in the state. HOw do you get a C out of that? Your information is not up to date folks. Education at a C+ is the most insulting though, our education system should be an F. All of the bright students have left the school system for other towns. Retried teachers in the know concur that Henryetta public education system has been broken for years. You have employment and Housing right, but an A- for weather, LOL, give me a break. Other than the weather, it all points to one thing leadership. If you were arrested in Henryetta you would be taken to the city jail while you were waiting to be taken to the county jail which may take a day or two. If nature calls while incarcerated, your only remedy is to use the cell floor and there are many stains to show you haven't been the only one. The city is corrupt and has been for years. The same city leadership controls the school board, get the picture? It's all about what they can get out of it. A past President of the School Board lied about having an associate degree and couldn't put a sentence together. A citizen group successfully petitioned the state to audit questionable use of over $35,000,000 in public resources since 2010. My career spanned as a franchisee, commercial, industrial, tract and custom home building, financing ...Read More , and numerous joint ventures.

Henryetta has been ravished by self serving public officials for decades to include corruption, embezzlement, conspiracy to commit fraud, etc. Located at the intersection of the Indian Nation Turnpike and highway 75 is probably one of the hottest clover leafs in Oklahoma. Yet the city has never had nor does it have now a plan way forward for the city. Services are nil, the water taste awful, there are 155 abandoned and blighted homes within the city limits some of which existed when i left HS in 1963.

It came as no surprise to me when the announcement was made last week that the #1 worst town to live in Oklahoma was Henryetta! That was followed by Okmulgee (#7) which makes a statement about the county in general; it is corrupt.
