Great Value to Live and 15 minutes from Everything 5 rating By Trigger-Switch ( Sep 20, 2016) We have lived in the country outside of Inola for 17 years. There are several things we love about living here but what originally made us look here is that you can buy WAY more house and land for the money than you can closer to Tulsa. We bought a 2400 sq ft house for what an ...Read More 1800 sq ft house would have cost just 10 miles closer to Tulsa. When we lived in Jenks, we were 25 minutes from work in Tulsa, 10 minutes from a grocery store, 15 minutes from a Walmart, and 5 minutes from the school. Here in Inola, we are still 25 minutes from Tulsa, 5 - 10 minutes from a grocery store, 15 minutes from a Walmart, and 5 minutes from the school. The difference is we don't fight traffic and don't get delayed at tons of stoplights. Inola definitely has a small town atmosphere and as such makes you feel like you are missing out on something. There aren't as many restaurants and only one or two bars in the Inola area but there are still a ton of restaurants within a 15 minute drive. You can see the stars at night here where you can't in Tulsa. There are tons of opportunities to own a couple acres and have a horse, goats, or just have room for kids to play without worry of traffic or strangers. The school system is great and the community supports the schools better than I have ever seen in any other area! You just can't beat it if you have a family or even if you are retired. Read Less
