Blind, as well as the Illinois School for the Deaf. Jacksonville also houses three other colleges within close proximity. Jacksonville is an industrial town with an abundance of employment opportunity. Some local major manufacturers are CCK Automation, ILMO Products, and Nestle USA to name a few.

The district offers arts, historical tours, parks and lakes, music festivals, lake trails, and upscale dining and shopping. One of the best areas in Jacksonville Illinois surrounds Morton Street. This is a central area in the city. Amenities there are plentiful, with a multitude of things to do for the entire family.
