For those who love the outdoors, Lancaster features the Ten Mile Creek, which has a number of tributaries great for fishing, rafting, canoeing, and more. The city is also located in the Blackland Region, which has a number of large farms and agricultural industries. There are a wide number of outdoor experiences in nearby Dallas as well including the Dallas Zoo, Katy Trail, and the Trinity River Project.

Within 30 minutes drive from Lancaster, you can be in downtown Dallas, and enjoy the great shopping centers and nightlife that is available there. For sports fans, Dallas features teams from all major sports including the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Dallas Stars. Read Less
