The growth here is crazy. New neighborhoods or neighborhood expansions are happening everywhere. The cost of living is high; Leland has followed the increasing rental and home sale rates of Wilmington. The pros of Leland: Small town feel, access to good healthcare providers, ...Read More
plenty of grocery stores, convenient to beaches, traffic is not too bad...yet.
The cons: it will be overcrowded soon; especially since Brunswick County is the fastest growing county in NC. If you need public transportation, it's not available in Leland. There are very few decent restaurants to eat here. You have to drive to Wilmington for more options. There is very little to do here. It's so boring. You can't drink the toxic water. it is the worst water in the country right now. Realtors don't disclose this. The weather. If you love constant rain, miserable and humid summers, and short seasons, this is the place for you. I plan to leave asap.
