When a statistic applies... 3 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 09, 2018) If a person is the victim of a crime, it seems as if the area has a lot of crime.... HOWEVER it is even more important to remember the other 14 years I have lived in this house, and never had so much as a passing driver flip a cigarette butt on my lawn! Last week, on the o ...Read More ther hand, a couple of local hoodlums broke a window, entered my house, and kicked my poor dog! (if for no other reason, they should go to prison for hurting a poor innocent animal. Judging an area by a single incident can make my zip code seem terrifying. After growing up in Columbus, living in one neighborhood, going to school in another, and dating girls whose parents always thought I was a nice young man (WOW I sure had them fooled.) I knew what a scary neighborhood was. The guy who is now my dentist grew up in one. London, Ohio does not contain one....At All. Anywhere. There are low income areas. There are parts of town, with cars on blocks, in the front AND the back yards. To the best of my knowledge, there has never been a drive-by shooting here. Aside from the dangers associated with cow tipping, the area doesn't have any dangers you wouldn't find in Columbus, it al. It does, however, lack some of them. My wife & I made a conscious decision, to move out of Columbus. To this day, we stand by that decision. Read Less
Small Town Living - London, OH 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I have lived in London, OH for two years now. It is such a cute little town. Everyone within London knows each other. The community is full of very nice people. It was quite a shocker for me moving here from Philadelphia. However, I have gotten used to the small town living.
Th
...Read More e town is very quiet and peaceful. There are very few restaurants and stores to shop at.There is a pizza shop and a hardware store down the street from where I live. The pizza is excellent. There is a Walmart and Kroger that I frequent when I need to go grocery shopping.
There is a local pool in London where I take my nieces and nephew when they visit. We always have a lot of fun there. The school system is excellent. I really enjoy living in London. I really have adapted to the small town atmosphere. Everything moves much slower in this small town. It really is very serene. Read Less
