Nearby La Crescenta, La Canada or Pasadena are great and minutes away for dining/shopping. I notice changes to Foothill Blvd of late anyway, the Backdoor Bakery attracts all the recent Hollywood transplants who have probably been forced to move this way after being priced out of everywhere else in LA.
