Blah town in fun state particularly for the young and adventurous. 1.5 rating By PapaBee ( May 29, 2017) We have lived here for years. After living in other CO towns as well as coast to coast this town has disappointed us. There is very little sense of community and schools are not great by national means. The city is very poor at planning which is evident in the lack of downtown pa ...Read More rking, traffic, and boom and bust cycles. The town is growing primarily from TX and CA transplants. Oil and gas as well as tech all in neighboring areas is the primary growth driver as it is more affordable than the town major employers reside in. This is not a tremendously convenient town for traditional CO activities (skiing, rafting, mountain biking, hiking). The retirement community is growing and there are two major hospitals suiting those needs. 34 the primary thoroughfare for all of Loveland and is also the primary road to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National park. The area has medium to high winds during transition seasons. Not as high as near by WY however. The area does suffer from occasional flooding as well as wild & grass fires. Read Less
Fantasic place 5 rating By merionvw ( Nov 09, 2013) We spent a week here last summer. It has a historic downtown but it istill alive and thriving - not boarded up as so many are. Terrific restaurants in downtown and out towards the interstae. Bonefish is just brilliant. The sculpture garden is so wonderful we had to go back a seco ...Read More nd time. They also have a museum which has nationally renowned art visiting. Easy access to Estes Park and Trail Ridge drive (an absolute must - highest continuous road through the rockies - brilliant). Lovely people . Easy access to denver and airport. great hotels too. we could have stayed much longer Read Less
The Diverse City Of Loveland, Colorado 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 24, 2012) I use to live in Loveland Colorado and I enjoyed the time that I spent there. The town has so much to offer and there is always something to do. It is close to other major cities, which gives you more options as far as entertainment. Since it is within two hours of Denver, you sh ...Read More ould never be bored. Loveland, CO sits at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, which are beautiful in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can go fishing at the Big Thompson River, or go into the mountains and fish. Trout are fairly easy to catch and you can get your limit on a daily basis if you want. In the winter, the mountains often offer a snow cap scene that looks like it is from a painting.

There are also many different cultures that live there making it a diverse place to be. There is an art museum, and every August there is a yearly sculpture show. Of course, if you want more to do then you can go visit one of the other cities that are close by. You have Denver, which is only about an hour away. Denver has museums, an aquarium, zoo and of course the Denver Broncos. There is also Colorado Springs that you can visit and is only about 2.5 hours away from Loveland. While down this way, you may also want to check out the United States Air Force Academy. If for any reason you find yourself being bore living in Loveland, then you need to get outside more. One of the major drawbacks of living there was the price. To me it seemed that everything was a little higher, but still reasonable for the professional. Read Less
