Lived in Madison "The City" for 15 years before moving back home to the East Coast. Most would think a 30 yr mayor would be a bad thing but not here. She has a vision and has over that time built one great place to live. No mobile home parks, no apartments and no national product ...Read More

Exterior designs for commercial buildings very unusual, Home Depot looks like a red brick office building, Lowe's like a Grecian building, Wal*Mart with benches and park-like settings in the parking lot. Chili's not no red chili over the door, did not meet color code. Beautiful well kept neighborhoods through out the city, even the few older ones are in great shape. Good roads and access to I-55 N/S Chicago to New Orleans.
Strong law enforcement, fire dept and residential/commercial building codes and enforcement. If it were not for grand children being out of state, I would have stayed.

Madison, MS is an interesting town with lots of attractions you won't find anywhere else. It's one of the best places to bring your friends or family for a visit, and there are several local attractions you can visit often if you live in the city.

popular attraction, and it allows you to play escape games with friends while you come up with strategies to help you get out of secured rooms. You can also do some shopping at Renaissance at Colony Park, which has plenty of specialty shops with beautiful home decor accents. Sugar Magnolia Gifts and Boutique is another creative attraction, and there's also an art gallery on site. When you want to go see a movie, Malco Grandview is one of the best places to go, where you'll find movies that feature your favorite actors.
Spending time outdoors is also easy in Madison, since you can visit areas like the Ridgeland Bike Trail, which is also great for hiking.
