Marshall, Texas we pride ourselves in our pottery factories. We have a rich and diverse culture.
We are the county seat of Harrison County. We have quite a large population compared to all of Texas. We have to zip codes that we use.

l War. During the Civil War, we were the center for Confederacy. However, we have a large African American population.
This African American population helped us grow into the diverse Community we are today. Working for social change the African American population of Marshall, Texas was the Epic Center of the civil rights movement of the 1960s in the United States.
We are no small town. When people come to live here they are greeted with no small town attitude. Our large city gives us the ability to act like a small town and be a city at the same time. There are some people who know everything about this city and everyone who lives in it.
