Mount Vernon, Virginia: Always Something to Do 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I have lived here in Mount Vernon, Virginia for a few years now and can say that all of the experiences that I have had while living here have been pleasant. Being that this is a suburb of Washington, D.C., there is lots to do around the area. At the same time, living in Mount Ve ...Read More rnon provides a place where you can also just relax and unwind.

The only downside that I can say about living here is that it is not cheap. Homes is this area are sought after and that drives rent and buying prices up. The local school system does receive praise often about its programs and I can personally vouch that Fort Hunt Elementary School is a great place to attend, as my daughter goes there.

The best areas in Mount Vernon, Virginia are probably the multiple opportunities of things to do. Shopping and dining options are broad. You can also easily travel to the national zoo or multiple museums in the D.C. area. You will never have to look far for something to do here. Read Less
