has a population of around 24,000 people. The H.J. Heinz company is a major employer and there are many small manufacturing plants that drive the local economy. It is located just 30 miles west of Davenport, which is part of the Quad Cities where shopping, restaurants, and night life spots are in abundant.
Muscatine has many parks that are designed for families and those who enjoy hiking and trails. It is located on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River, which is a haven for those who enjoys fishing, water sports, and the like. All in all, Muscatine's slow pace makes it a great place to raise a family.
