Oakland has grown to over 8,000 in population in the last 15 years as residents have chosen a more peaceful small town setting within reach of Major city amenities. ...Read More Over the last few years the academic scores for the Oakland schools have been below acceptable standards, but in the last two years scores have improved substantially as the leadership and staff of the schools have changed strategies and some personnel. Taxes are low and streetlights are scarce, but all you need is in Oakland and there is more to come. Read Less
