I'm not even going to pretend that there is anything even remotely redeeming about living in Oneida, New York. Once Upon a Time it was considered one of the best areas in the state, but those days are long gone. The crime here runs rampant. The schools are disgraceful. The neighb ...Read More
orhoods that were once so attractive and well-maintained are now shabby remnants of their former selves. The people just don't seem to care about what's going on around them or how their surroundings look. They don't care that their community is falling apart. Even the weather seems to be depressing most of the time here. There are no decent jobs to be found that pay a living wage and that means no decent housing either.
If you live here or are visiting, there are a few things to do that are noteworthy. We have The Skeleton Key escape games, Chittenango Falls State Park, the Wild Animal Park which includes a small zoo, the Turning Stone Resort & Casino, and the Sylvan Beach amusement park. Sad to say that's about it. If you're looking for fun or a decent, safe place to live, keep looking.
