hin a reasonable driving distance to the Ski park in Show Low Arizona and to the warmth of phoenix. In my opinion, the city is ideally located between these extremes.
My favorite part about living in Payson AZ was that it is located within the Tonto National forest. The town itself is fairly small and doesn’t offer much in the way of entertainment unless your into camping, hiking, horseback riding, or fishing. The best places in Payson are the ones that cater to this advantage. There are numerous hiking trails and campgrounds along the outskirts of the city, and to the south, Lake Roosevelt offers more camping hiking and fishing. The area is beautiful and offers just about everything an outdoor enthusiast could ask for.
