Punta Gorda has the nightlife if that is what you are looking for. If you are looking for peace and quiet you can find that as well. It has amazing shopping, and entertainment your looking for. The people are warm and inviting. This little city is beautiful to see the older looki ...Read More
ng houses or the newer houses. Nice to walk down the sidewalk and meet people and be greeted with hello's and nice day. The parks are all child friendly and most dog friendly. I love Punta Gorda.

Punta Gorda is not a place for younger people or people who live a fast life. It is great, however, for older people. Many of the activities are boat related or are very "Florida-y". The restaurants downtown are pricy but excellent. I would say that the majority of the population ...Read More
would be older people and/or "rednecks". In this town, people are mainly either wealthy or very poor and there isn't much in between. Nice little town for a family if you'd like something small. However, many kids around here are into drugs.

There are restaurants, parks, boating, fishing, sailing and so much more.
There is a variety of living styles such as condos, villas, single family homes and mobile homes.
Some of the things the city has to offer are Laishley Park Marina, several parks, Charlotte Harbor Event Center, Fishermen's Village for shopping and dining, King Fisher Fleet, sailing and boat clubs, bicycle path around the city, Muscle Car City, Florida Tracks and Trails, Peace River Wildlife Center, YMCA, Tennis Club, golf courses, Palm Auto Mall, Bobcat Wilderness Adventure, flea market, events and festivals, Charlotte Players, hotels with waterfront dining, marinas, boat ramps, and dog parks.
