We don't live there anymore (thank God) It seemed quite nice at first, some friendly people, quiet, very small and quaint. But the nice people in town were quickly overshadowed by a terrible school district (our kids were bullied non-stop and the administration did nothing, in fa ...Read More
ct they called CPS repeatedly to harass us) lack of jobs, and horrendous boredom. Nothing to do except go to the one bar in town and get drunk. On weekends nothing is open and on weekdays everything closes by three. If you can count a library, horrible grocery store, and tacky thrift shop as "businesses" We came to find out the local police were good for nothing, in fact there was a huge scandal with an officer coercing young girls into sex. Just stay away. It's weird, it's not inclusive (if your family hasn't lived there for 100 years you're drummed out of town) and the local government sucks.
