Always looking to the future, Sacramento recently completed the Golden One Center in Downtown Sacramento, home of the NBA Sacramento Kings and also an events center, recently hosting Paul McCartney. It has created a revival in the city with new hotels, restaurants and entertainment downtown. We also have the River Cats Minor League Baseball team and Major League Soccer is in the future. Also known as the Fabulous Forties, homes in this area are made for the upper middle class lifestyle. Grand homes with front porches, neighborhood parks and easy access to downtown make it a popular choice for those wanting a stable area in a safe, beautiful setting. Between Interstate 80 going northeast and US 50 it is close to Sacramento State College and within 15 minutes of downtown. The Pavilions Shopping Center off Fair Oaks and Howe Avenues is close with chic shops, restaurants and shopping. You can take J street right downtown to the State Capitol, Sutter's Fort Historical Museum and the Crocker Art Gallery or Harlow's Restaurant and Nightclub for food and entertainment. Just off the American River and Interstate 80 is River Park.
