assic downtown and shop row houses are still there with major repairs and updated paint jobs. There are a few buildings that still need work, but that's actually the appeal of the town!
While I move to small towns to be outside of bigger cities without all of the clutter, a lot of people try their hand at building a business in older downtown shops. It's affordable, it's a chance to work with old locations that have decent traffic access, and it's a chance to get to know your community from foot traffic.
The best areas in Vidalia are around the downtown area if you're looking for great food, or towards Lyons if you're looking for a few extra bars and clubs. Living in Vidalia puts you in a calm and comfortable part of Georgia, but if you need a bit of bit city and international exposure, Savannah is a little over 1 1/2 hours away.
