It is spaced out over several small islands and peninsulas and the most famous attraction is Palm Beach. This city has excellent potential for people wanting to move here but who don't quite want to deal with the busy nature of Miami. West Palm Beach is a more reserved area, with beautiful oceanfront houses and it is particularly popular amongst retirees because of the calmness and beauty.

West Palm Beach's economy is centered around tourism and services, though there are plenty of jobs in other sectors as well and the industries continue to grow. It is home to many expensive properties and the cost of living is very high, making it difficult for many people to live here without either retirement income or a high paying job. The economy is growing along with the tourism industry, and it is likely that the cost of living will change with time as more people settle here.

For those looking to move with their family or start one, West Palm Beach has an excellent public school system and the neighborhoods are clean and safe. In terms of higher education, West Palm Beach is home to Keiser University and there are many renowned universities in nearby Miami.
